Elastomeric polymer-modified medium setting cationic asphalt emulsion, which has a minimum asphalt binder of 62%, a maximum demulsibility of 50%, a maximum distilled solvent content of 12% and a Saybolt-Furol viscosity at 50°C between 20 and 200 seconds, that is, low consistency. The emulsion residue, among other characteristics, must have a minimum softening point of 55°C and elastic recovery at 25°C of at least 70%.

Description
Description
CBAA FLEX RM-1C-E is a special cationic asphalt emulsion, with medium rupture, modified by elastomeric polymers, which presents an excellent behavior and durability against the effects of the climate and the requests of heavy traffic. Provides excellent adhesion of the elastomeric asphalt binder to mineral contact surfaces, whether acidic or basic. It is formulated with specific emulsifiers to characterize the average rupture of the emulsion, presenting an excellent involvement in asphalt mixtures and providing formation of a continuous asphaltic film of covering, adherence and cohesion of the aggregates, through a predominant chemical phenomenon, in contact with the aggregate or with the plated surface. CBAA FLEX RM-1C-E contains elastomers in its formulation, which provide high power of internal cohesion, high adhesiveness, flexibility, resistance to aging and exudation in the face of large temperature variations.
Uses
Uses
CBAA FLEX RC-1M-E is used in paving services with the use of cold pre-mixed asphalt mixtures (PMF’s) of different granulometric graduations: open / draining and semi-dense and in mixtures of asphalt sand to cold (AAF), and cover holes.
Application
Application
In asphalt mass machining services, CBAA FLEX RM-1C-E must be used at room temperature, and must not be heated. The aggregates must be clean (washed gravel) and free of stone dust or sand containing reactive clay.
Under these conditions, the asphalt mixtures show good involvement and the formation of a continuous asphalt film for covering, adhesion and cohesion of the aggregates.
In case of storage for long periods, it is recommended to circulate the product once a week. Avoid successive recirculation and pumping to prevent a decrease in viscosity and rupture due to entrained air. We do not recommend storage for more than 21 days.

Recommendations
Recommendations
During handling, use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). In the event of an accident, consult the Safety Data Sheet for Chemical Products (FISPQ – No. CBAA.002).
Employment restriction
Employment restriction
It is not recommended to carry out paving services using the CBAA FLEX RM-1C-E, at temperatures below 10°C. Do not apply in two with imminent rain.
Handling
Handling
CBAA FLEX RM-1C-E is classified by the UN (3082), as a substance of risk 9 and subclass N.E (liquid substances that present a risk to the environment).
As for the arrival of the product at the work site, collect the sample for the reception/quality tests. Do not heat the product before the sampling procedure.
The product must not be heated for use. Eventually (pump / plant problem) it can be heated up to a maximum of 55ºC, for your application.
Storage
Storage
The product can be kept in deposits (bulk), duly sealed. It is not recommended to store the product for a period longer than 21 days.
CBAA FLEX RM-1C-E is a medium viscosity product. When at rest for a long period of storage, sedimentation of asphalt globules occurs on the lower surface and emergence of the chemical aqueous phase that composes the emulsion, requiring circulation to homogenize the same for its application or the occurrence of partial rupture of the emulsion state .
